Kate, what programs do you use to colour your images? And how do you create the line-art? Do you draw (and maybe even ink) on paper or is it all by computer?
Check out the art blog I started in the forum - I’m gonna use it to explain my process. But basically these pages are now done 100% digital - no paper stage whatsoever. I use Photoshop and a bit of Illustrator for the lettering/bubbles. I have a tablet PC so I can draw right on the screen of my laptop - makes art-making on my computer really convenient
Ah ok. I have a tablet too (well no tablet pc but a regular one) but still, making the line-art so smooth costs me a lot of time and it’s very horrible work.
@ Stanni - try working at a much higher resolution or size than you want your images to end up as - that way when you shrink them down after the lines are much smoother. Drawing way zoomed in can help too, though mastering a tablet does take a lot of practice for sure.
